Data Entry with Columbus Rec & Parks Department (50 Hrs)

As per our usual zoom meeting Keiana would have me to sign up for the volunteer activities but I was not achieving my certain goal for hours. We had a discussion about this problem in our zoom meeting, so she introduced me to Betty, she is a Data Analyst at Rec & Parks Department. We scheduled a zoom meeting with her and she introduced everything to me what I had to do for the project. Basically, she gave me the volunteer waiver forms to enter the data into excel sheet. She told me that it was going to be one of the most boring job and we laughed about it. However, at first, I thought it was not going to take much time but then I found out it will. I would spend entering data 3 to 4 hours throughout the weekends. Especially on Saturdays and sometimes on Fridays as well.  If we talk about the technical side of the work, the waivers included person's name, address, the demographic information, ethnicity, and profession. I am glad that I had the flexibility to do the job at any time of the day because it was all virtual. For the whole project I ended up entering more than 300 people's information and I learned a lot about Data Entry. I am proud to say that I acquired a new technical skill after this project.
